The Primary School category for 2020 was based on the Science Unit, “Enhancing Habitats”. The theme was “Why We Love Where We Live” and there were six great entries from three schools, Gowrie S.S., Kulpi S.S. and Goombungee S.S. Costa Georgiadis judged and he loved the entries. He sent messages to all three schools, encouraging them to keep up the great work they are doing.
We loved the entries too and we hope that next year we will have even more schools showcasing the great work they are doing to inspire our future land carers.
Gowrie School was the winner, and part of their prize, along with a trophy and prize money, was a day with drone pilot, Joseph Canning from Hawkeye Access Drones. The students produced their own videos from their day with Joseph.
Joseph had such a great day with the students at Gowrie State School that he has put his hand up to do the same again next year for the winning school. Thanks Joseph!
