2020 “Focus on Farms” Photographic Competition

There were almost 300 entries in the Open and Under 18 Categories, with this being the first year that entries were submitted online.

6 entries were received in the Primary School category and 7 entries in the Nicki Laws Perpetual Trophy Landcare category.

The judges were Ann Alcock, Julie Ramsay, Kara Glenn-Smith, Joan Van Kuijck and Costa Georgiadis.

The “On Our Selection” Category was decided by popular vote by visitors to the Royal Bull’s Head Inn at Drayton, during the Carnival of Flowers.

The Presentation Event was held on Saturday, October 31st at the Highfields Pioneer Village.

Highfields Lions Club catered for the event with a sausage sizzle.

2020 has been a very challenging year so being able to hold a social event where we share what it is we love about living in this region has been a very important way of connecting community members.

Entries were also welcomed from people living outside the Toowoomba Regional Council area on the   Darling Downs, the Southern Downs, and the Western Downs and in the Condamine Catchment region.
